About Linda, in her own words
Linda Lyman-Weiman, PhD
I majored in English at Northwestern University and served as president of Mortar Board my senior year, class of 1963. I moved to Peoria, IL, and joined the Unitarian Universalist Church in 1990. Becoming a professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations at Illinois State University, I taught graduate students about leadership in education. Through my teaching and writing, I have explored and advocated leadership approaches that enhance learning, promote growth through dialogue, and advance social justice. My current research focuses on personal and professional journeys of women educational leaders from around the world. In addition, I’m a long-time poet and completed a book of poetry since retiring from academia.
